ABOUT THE FIRM
Beau L. Wagner, P.C. was founded after a successful five-year position with one of the country’s oldest and most respected law firms. Since forming his own firm, Beau has been focused on providing efficient, practical and convenient legal services that allow his clients to do what they do best, while leaving the details to his firm. Most of his clients are commercial real estate investors, businesses, entrepreneurs, home sellers and buyers and condominium associations.
Beau makes it clear to his clients that he is not in the business of sales. Legal action – whether it’s a simple real estate closing, a multi-million-dollar commercial deal, a business problem, or engaging in litigation – usually involves some element of risk with difficulties to carefully navigate. Beau makes sure that his clients understand all of the benefits and risks involved in any proposed course of action for their legal needs. His goal is to give you a business-minded approach that is personalized to your objectives, so you have the tools necessary to focus on what you need to.
Beau was raised in a small town in Northern Illinois by parents who taught him that no amount of talent can ever replace hard work. He also learned that you are never too old to send a handwritten thank you note. For college, he took his childhood comfort of being surrounded by corn to the State of Iowa, where he parlayed his love for basketball and lasting friendships into four memorable years in the Hawkeye state. After college, he had always wanted to point at his palm to inform people where he was learning to “think like a lawyer”, so he went to the only state shaped like a mitten and spent three years as a Michigan resident. Saddled with $125,000 of post-law school debt, he needed to move to a city in Illinois that had a low cost of living (and no distractions) to efficiently study for the Bar Exam – so he moved three blocks away from Wrigley Field. Although he did pass the Exam on his first attempt, one of his study books still has an ivy leaf pressed inside of the cover.
The Chicagoland area has provided him with a robust landscape to apply his professional skills, along with the unique opportunity to eventually see his friends become clients and his clients become friends – which he finds to be the most rewarding aspect of his trade.
